Kerotan Frogs location Guide

**Some MGS3 spoilers**



Well, for those of you who just hate those plastic
frogs, this is your bible. I painstakingly sought these
out for your benefit.

Rules about the frogs:

- you must shoot them Once... As soon as they croak they are done
- you must get them again if you die in the area without saving

Tips:

- use the GA-KO uniform and if a frog is in the area you'll hear
him croak
- The Sniper rifle always comes in handy for distant and high frogs

Kerotan Frogs:

#1. Location: Dremuchij south, during operation virtuous mission

go to the tree where you received your backpack. go into
FPV and look to the south and then slightly left. you will
see the little green menace sitting, camouflaged on the
bankment

#2. location: dremuchij swampland, during virtuous mission

after you cross the swamp, there is a bankment behind a tree.
go to this tree, look south onto the bankment, and you will see
him just sitting there on the bank

#3. location: dremuchij north, during Virtuous mission

go to the far eastern route, and there is a tree stump that you can
hide in, on top of this is mr. kerotan

#4. location: Dolidnovodno, during virtuous mission

on the large support poles on the southern side of the bridge, he sits on
the one on the left. Kill the guard so you can get a clear shot at him

#5. location: Rassvet, during virtuous mission

underneath the stairs in the east, there is a gap in the wall. look through this
gap and Mr. kerotan is sitting in a clearing there. best to take out the locals
before you try to get him

#6. location: Dremuchij east, at the start of operation snake eater

in the clearing after the area you start in, look to the west for a broken array
of tree trunks. he is sitting in there and you must shoot him through a hole

NOTES: you will have no gun for the next few, so first go to rassvet and get a
gun from EVA, then backtrack and get the frogs

#7. location: Dremuchij south

go right to the south west, at the end of the area, then look on the bankment
you can't miss him.

#8. location: Dremuchij swamplands

go over to the western area of the swamp, where the crocodiles are laying, then
look behind the tree at the swamp's edge. he is there.

#9. location: Dremuchij north

climb the tree here, at the second fork in the path ahead, and look to the west.
he sits on a far embankment

#10. location: Dolidnovodno.

at the north part of the bridge, before rassvet, he is on the edge of the cliff side to
the east


#11. location: rassvet

go up the stairs, then turn around and go back down. He is actually under the
stairs and impossible to miss if you go this way

#12. location: Chyornyl Prud

near the right exit to bolshaya past south, in the water by a tree. Dive under to
get a good view

#13. Bolshaya Past South

right before the last electric fence, behind a clump of trees

#14. location: Bolshaya Past Base

go into the main building and into the biggest room, with the beds. there is a desk
in here, and the little spawn of satan is under it

#15. location: Bolshaya Past Crevice

**You must get this during the fight with Ocelot!**

he is behind where you are, in the south east beside a tree

#16. Location: Chornya Peschera Cave Branch

ok, from the starting location, turn up the brightness on your screen so
you can see. now take the usual path, to the right of the starting point.
when you reach this area take the far left tunnel. You'll know you're going
the right way because you'll come to a waterfall. keep folowing the path on,
all the way around, taking care not to drop down the ledge on the way.
when you reach here, there'll be a tunnel and you'll have to swim all the way.
when you emerge, grab the NVG and look up at the wall to the south. there
he is.

#17. location: Chornaya Peschera Cave

right when you enter the Pain's boss area, look up at the big bright hole in the
ceiling. he is actually on the edge of this looking down at you.

#18. location: Chornaya Peschera Cave Entrance

in the place where the claymore's are, you'll see it on the way. go here, and
blow up the mines somehow, before going in and looking at the overhang in
the entrance. he's standing on this

#19. location: Ponizovje South

right at the entrance area, at the south, he stands on the bank at the western side

#20. location: Ponizovje west

in the water, at the bank in front of the armoury, he is under the surface, in a little
tube type thing

#21. location: Ponizovje warehouse: Exterior

go to the southwest and there is a type of gate thing. there are two posts, and he
is on the one on the left

#22. location: Ponizovje warehouse

kill all of the guards first, then go to the wall at the south. look due north, then up
at the top tier. you'll see a beam at the roof, and he is standing on it

#23. location: Graniny Gorky South

run right to the exit, and there is a snare trap, run into it and get yourself hoisted by
the ankles. it's embarrassing, but it lets you see the Kerotan in the tree

#24. location: Graniny Gorki Lab Exterior: Outside Walls

go right past the electric fence, and to the west where the hole you go through is,
there will be an embankment with some trees on it. He is standing here

#25. location: Graniny Gorki Lab Exterior: Inside Walls

first, kill all the guards, then head to the east, and there'll be a locked building. in the
barred window, sits Mr. Kerotan

#26. location: on the ground floor, far east side there is a group of lockers. he's on top of
one of them

#27. location: Graniny Gorki Lab B1 East

wait until the guard ain't looking (you're in disguise) then go to the last cell on the left.
he sits on a desk. go into FPV and punch him till he croaks no more

#28. location: Graniny Gorki Lab B1 West

he sits on the shelf in here. Use the Cigar Gas-Spray to knock out everyone in the area
then punch him

#'29. location: Svayatogornyj South

right when you enter this area, on the ledge high above the ground to the south west

#30. location: Svayatogornyj West

to the southwest, there is a hollow tree. he sits on top of it

#31. location: Svayatogornyj East

in the cabin, in the left anteroom, he is perched on a shelf

#32. location: Sokrovenno South

at the armoury where the SVD ammo is found, he is perched above it and can be seen by looking
from the north east to the south west.

#33. location: Sokrovenno West

follow the river down south until you reach the hole. crouch down and look inside to find him

#34. location: Sokrovenno North

come into this area by the left path, hug the wall around the semicircle. you'll come to a tree trunk.
look at the left side, south ways, to find him

#35. location: Krasnogorje Tunnel

before the ladder, behind one of the indents in the wall

'#36. location: Krasnogorje Mountain Base.

at the end of the route, before Krasnogorje Mountainside, it's at the top left corner up high on
the rock

#37. location: Krasnogorje Mountainside

at the bunker, at the end of the route, he sits on it's roof

#38. location: Krasnogorje Mountaintop

go into the underground crawl spaces, and head to the southeast. you'll see the frog on a ledge across
from you.

#39. location: Krasnogorje Mountaintop

when overlooking Groznyj Grad, from the high ledge, get a sniper and go into FPV. look
at the tower across to the right. the kerotan is on the red sign on this tower

#40. Krasnogorje Mountaintop Ruins

in the room with the bed, he is on the shelves above the bed

#41. Groznyj Grad Underground Tunnel

**You must get this during the fight with The Fury!**

go to the far door you will eventually leave from, and look back south. Take out a sniper and
point it at the big red pipes at the ceiling. he is on the set dead straight ahead from the door

#42. location: Groznyj Grad Southwest

go to the area with the big warehouses and go to the middle one to the far west. look in the little
crack in the door, he is sitting in there

#43. location: Groznyj Grad Southeast

go up the stairs outside, onto the top of the roof. go to the far right-hand corner, he's on the wall here

#44. location: Groznyj Grad Torture Room

go to the room with the desk along one wall in it. he sits under the desk, by the legs of a chair

#45. location: Groznyj Grad Northwest

to the west, at the area where one of the watchtowers are and the west wing is, there is a staircase. he
is perched at it's top

#46. location: Groznyj Grad Northeast

in the underground tunnel, one of the paths lead to a dead end with bars. he is at the end of this tunnel, between
the bars

#47. location: Groznyj Grad Weapons Lab: East Wing

go to the upper tier, and in the room you enter when you take the far staircase, Kerotan its on the book shelf

#48. location: Groznyj Grad Weapons Lab: West Wing Corridor

when you come to the second turn in the corridor, look south out of the first window. he is perched on a pole outside

#49. location: Tikhogornyj

go right to the south. there is a broken tree in the area and he is under it

#50. location: Tikhogornyj: Behind waterfall

in the room with the ladder, look up at the pipes on the wall and he is on one of them

#51. location: Groznyj Grad Weapons Lab: Main Wing

to the left of the Shagohod, he is perched between two of the computer type things

#52. location: Groznyj Grad Weapons Lab: Main Wing B1

**You must get this during the fight with Volgin!**

go to the southwest area, and look to the left at the wall. up high, next to some crates he sits

#53. location: Groznyj Grad

** note, this and the next few kerotans will be during the motorcycle chase sequence. save before you try
these ones, as they are VERY hard and you probably won't get 'em first time **

when you come into the area with the tanks, look to the right at the watchtower. he sits on the spotlight.

#54. location: Groznyj Grad Runway South

when the motorbike stops for the first time, look for a forklift. he is sitting in the driver's seat of the forklift

#55. location: Groznyj Grad Runway

keep an eye on your left. he is towards the start of the sequence, on one of the box thingd to the left

#56: location: Groznyj Grad Runway

during this sequence, keep focused on the right hand side at the signs. one of them (can't remember which) has
him sitting on it. it's trial and error so give it a shot


**end motorbike kerotans.....for now**

#57. location: Groznyj Grad Rail Bridge

he is on the left hand, bottom rail of the bridge, in line with the C3. you need to stand up to see him through the SVD scope

#58. location: During Shagohod Boss Fight

**MUST BE GOTTEN DURING THE BOSS FIGHT**

look at the large tower pylon's base. he sits at one of the corners

#59. location: Groznyj Grad Rail Bridge North

**back to motorbike kerotans**

at the barricade with the red barriers, Kerotan sits smugly between two of the red and white barriers

#60. lazorevo south

wait about 7 seconds, focusing on the left. a tree trunk will zoom by, with a rock near it kerotan is in front of this rock.
he is VERY hard to hit so you'll be frustrated but do not give up!

#61. location: lazorevo north

wait a few seconds again, on the left again. a boulder will zoom into view with Mr. Kerotan on it.

#62. location: Zaozyorje West

take the western path around, and when you are crossing the tree trunk, look down nto the crevice to see him

#63. location: Zaozyorje East.

when you come to a fork, there is a tree. he's wedged in behind it

#64. location: Rokovoj Bereg

**You must get this during the fight with The Boss!**

at the top of one of the trees, to the south, he is standing on the tip.

congrats on getting them all. stealth Camo is yours to keep. use it to make up for the time wasted getting the little freaks
