Name: MK22
(Pronounced "Mark 22")

Location: At the start of the game, when you retrieve your
backpack from the tree it is automatically in your inventory.

Description: This is one of the best guns in the game. It fires
tranq. rounds, and can be equipped with a suppressor for
maximum stealth. Essential part of the field kit.

Name: M1911A1

Location: At the start of "Operation: Snake Eater," in your inventory
and also in Rassvet. you receive it from agent EVA during the
cut scene. (the one where she insists on Snake getting some sleep.)

Description: imagine the MK22 only it shoots to kill. Not good for
your overall rating (the game has something against killing guards
and will give you a bad rating for doing so) but still sufficiently lethal in combat. Good for all the sadistic gamers out there.

Name: Patriot

Location: Since this is The Boss’ gun, which you receive from
her after you kill her at the end of the game you can only use this on a second
run through the game. So when you retrieve your pack at the
game's start, check your inventory - it's there.

Description: The mother of all machine guns, this baby packs a
loop shaped feeding ramp giving it infinite ammo. While lethal
in every sense, it is also one of those guns that tend to get you
noticed.

Name: Single Action Army (SAA)

Location: When snake is caught and tortured, you see a
scene in which The Boss shoots Snake and leaves him
with the gun. once you wake up in the prison cell, you'll
see that he has the gun. The only way to use this gun.
Next time, as in next time you start a new game on the
same save is a secret but here’s the way to have this gun.

In the last scene with Ocelot, when you have to choose a gun, choose the one on the right.
On your next play through the game, when you retrieve your backpack, check it. It's there.

Description: A very fun to use weapon. You will be
intrigued to know that you can ricochet bullets off
objects just like Ocelot does. Making shooting
guards not only easy, but fun too. Also While in first person you can twirl the gun around by using the right analog stick

Name: EZ (easy) Gun

Location: You will be given the privilege of using the
EZ gun if you opt to play on very easy. however, if
you wish to use it on a higher difficulty, you have to
earn the "Markhor" rating at the end of the
game - by capturing every animal and plant in the
game at least once.

Description: Possibly the best stealth gun in the game.
It has unlimited ammo, laser sight, unlimited suppressor,
zoom-in function and it looks cool too. also reduces
stamina loss and boosts camo index to 80% great for beginners.

Name: AK-47

Location: It can be found multiple times but I'll just give
you one. It can be found in Rassvet on your second visit.
Go up the stairs to the north-west and you will find it easily.

Description: There's a reason it is still used today.
This soviet made weapon is a reliable (if noisy) weapon and can be switched between semi and fully automatic fire. good for long range gun fights.

Name : XM16E1

Location: Again, there’s multiple locations one is as you walk
across the bridge to Rassvet factory take the path on the left
which will lead you to a small ledge shimmy across it
and you will find the gun under the bridge in the secret area
Also find the Raindrop camouflage there later in the game
but the most practical location is in Graniny Gorki: inside walls. There's an armoury to
the top-right. It's there.

Description: Better overall than the AK-47 because it can be
equipped with a suppressor. It also introduces a new kind of
firing mode: three-shot burst, which fires three quick shots at
the enemy. Also has semi and full automatic fire of course.

Name: M63

Location: For this one, I found it in Groznyj Grad north-west, in the
armoury but later learned that it can be found also in Svayatogornyj
East, in the cabin (you can find Svayatogornyj East in the area before
you fight The End, to the east, of course)

Description: I like this one. It shoots with immeasurable power and speed.
Snake likes it too, judging by how he yells when he uses it. This noise is
also it's downfall, after all, who can't hear a gun that size going off ?

Name: Scorpion

Location: I found it in the locked door in Groznyj Grad Weapons Lab:
East Wing. Interrogate a guard until you get the password for the door.

Or you can go get it when you’re disguised as Major Raikov.

Description: This little baby is equipped with a laser sight and fires at
lightning speed. great fun too use, and lethal too... and isn’t very loud at all.

Name: M37

Location. The most practical place to find it is in Chyornaya Peschera
cave branch. When faced with a fork in the path, take the right branch
and keep going until you find the gun. Also Found during the virtuous mission near boxes at Rassvet factory

Description: This is the blow-away gun to end all blow-away guns. It is
admittedly very loud, but hey, once you see how far guards will go when
shot you'll forgive instantly. Another one for the sadists out there.

Name: RPG-7

location: Krasnogorje Mountainside, when faced with three different
buildings, enter the first on the right and there it is

description: rocket propelled grenade is right. While being the only
gun that can physically blow a helicopter out of the sky, it still is rather
loud. good for instant room clearance, bad for stealth.

Name: SVD

Location: best found in Ponizovye west, in the armoury.
can be found in Svatgornje (sp?) also in the virtuous mission
when you see the first guard eliminate him and take an immediate right

Description: There is nothing like taking out a guard unseen from the
distance. the range is brilliant (Duh its a sniper rifle) as is the
power. But there is no denying that the absence of a suppressor is
infuriating. Switch between X3 and X10 magnification with / \ at the
weapons menu.

Name: Mosin Nagant

Location: There is only one way to get this and that is by defeating The
End by lowering his stamina. After this feat is achieved equip thermal

Description: imagine the SVD only it shoots tranq rounds instead of
bullets. Very nice for taking out far away guards without raising your kill
count. and quiet!

Name: Monkey Shaker

Location: Your weapon in the snake vs. monkey mini game.

Description: the same as the easy gun, except it only works on monkeys.
